The world has become a small place with the tiny touch of internet.The Internet has become 25 years old and this friend whom we depend on every day has achieved the greatest in its life till now.The Internet does not have an end. Its an infinite loop, a never ending one. Its like Doctor Strange from going into the dark dimension and using his infinity stone for a rebirth. Just like Doctor Strange, we all have fallen into the internet dimension which is infinite and never going to stop. Thanks to the creator of the internet which helped us connect, communicate and provide information to every citizen of this world on their fingertips. Science and technology has created wonders in every step of our lives.The Internet was one of them. Great scientists and technologists created this miracle which has made a huge difference in everyone’s life.
There are more than 3.4 billion of internet users today. That number is unimaginably huge. The number of internet users in India is more than the number of restrooms it has. How ironic right ! The Internet is widely used by people of all age groups especially teenagers, youth and working adults. Everything literally runs on the internet today. The Internet is used from the tiniest reasons like finding the nearest candy shop to satisfy your cravings to creating some path breaking inventions and ideas.The Internet is used in Education, business, social networking, entertainment, politics, and the list goes on and on. We are indeed in an infinite loop of internet system.The Internet is a multiple personality friend of everyone. It can be who you want it to be such that it is liked and adored immensely. Acquiring internet has become so easy just like addition of numbers. All you need is a broadband connection in a device and some love for it to work and help you out. Has it ever happened that anyone hated the internet ?
The internet is like an eternal sine wave. The usage of internet goes on increasing until a point where it reaches maximum when many people overuse it, exploit information from the internet which results in a downfall eventually till it reaches a point where new technology has to intervene to increase back the number of users of internet. Its an unending cycle just like the water cycle. Just how clouds give rain,the internet gives us tons of information. Interesting, isn’t it !!
This cycle will never stop. New technology for better use of internet will happen time and again. It will be a need of the hour. Now lies the question what will be its future ? The future is not the technology, but us. We are responsible how, why, when and for what we use it. In the recent years we all learnt about the good, bad and ugly faces of our friend internet. It can get influenced in many ways by feeding it true and untrue information that can affect the relation between its user and itself. Internet can create awareness about a lot of activities and happenings around the world but it can also spoil users by spreading hatred, disturbance and unpleasant information. For instance, cyber bullying is on rise among teenagers today and Privacy on the internet has become a myth. We should be responsible for what information we share on the internet. We are responsible on how we use information from the internet. One must be responsible for the repercussions they face for spreading false information.The Internet is our friend and we should treat it with care, love and respect. It should not happen that some one else is affected by the wrong doing of our actions.
We are lucky that we are gifted with such invention that has made our life easier. We must make the best use of it such that the ones that do not have easy access to internet, must also get direct or indirect benefits from it. Spread knowledge, spread ideas and innovations, spread awareness, spread creativity, connect people and most important of all spread love, positivity and hope for a bright, developed and optimistic future generation and world. Let’s not exploit our dear friend, let’s make it grow in the direction of progress. Let’s work towards protecting our future users such that there are no tough times they would face. Let’s not wipe our future like Thanos did to the population of the universe.The Internet will become as important as oxygen some day. One might not live without it. There was time when we used to say that food, clothes and shelter is enough for living but now we have a new addition, a new friend that is the internet that we cannot live without.
